I made a note card holder. For the actual note card holder, I used Raspberry Tart DSP from Stampin' Up!, Cameo Coral cardstock from Stampin' Up!, Rose Red ink from Stampin' Up!, & two stamps from the Unity March Kit of the Month.

I made a note card divider also. I used Raspberry Tart DSP from Stampin' Up!, Cameo Coral cardstock from Stampin' Up!, Rose Red ink from Stampin' Up!, two stamps from Unity's March Kit of the Month, and the sweet stamp from Unity.

This scrapbook layout is for Jenn Buck's inaugural Clean and Simple (CAS) scrapbook challenge. I chose paper that I think is simple. The picture is a black and white of my cat Magic. My paper is In the Meadow from Daisy Bucket designs. It is textured! I stamped the words Magic Moment in Basic Brown on white paper. The frame for the picture is Wild Wasabi. A few of the sayings are from the March KOM. I added some stickers. The flourish frame is from the March KOM journaling stamp. I added some brown ribbon to finish it off.

This is my card for Ky's challenge. I used Friends 24-7 for this card. I stamped the image in Green Galore ink first and then I colored it in with colored pencils and used the Versamarker to give it a watercolored look. This technique works best with darker colors. I versamarked the saying "here for you". I added some DSP and tied a ribbon around.

Hip Hop Hangover- Spring Style

For the Hip Hop Hangover, I made this wonderful card and envelope set. I used my March KOM. The cardstock is Soft Sky, Whisper White, & Some Patterned paper. I colored my stamps with SU! Pink Passion & Eggplant Envy markers to give it a tie-dye feel. I added some purple ribbon and purple glitter glue to give it a nice finished look. Enjoy the first day of Spring.

Saturday Stamping

This card is pure sunshine. I used Whisper White, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, & Certainly Celery cardstock. I also used Delicate Dots DSP. Flight of the Butterfly is such a wonderful set that I will have to buy.

This card is great too. I used Crazy for Cupcakes. The basic colors of this card are Very Vanilla, Cameo Coral, & Ruby Red. I also used Bella Rose DSP. This is my first time to use Very Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware and I think it is wonderful stuff. And I use the SU! markers which I love.

For this card, I used Eastern Blooms and Congrats. I can wait until I get my Congrats set. This card uses Bashful Blue as a base color. I used again the Delicate Dots DSP and So Saffron cardstock. The ribbon and button add a nice touch to this card.

I used a paper bag for this. On the paper bag, I placed a Top Note die cut. And then place various punches on top of that. I added some Polka Dots & Petals DSP. And I stamped and placed some stamped images from Simple Friendship. I used the Oval Punch to punch out some ovals on top of the bag to add a ribbon.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! These cards I did at the Stamper's Ten meeting. On this one, I used Loads of Love. I colored the main image with colored pencils. We used real map pieces for the background.

On this, I used the Simple Friendship. This is a cardboard coaster. The DSP is Polka Dots & Petals. I also used Itty Bitty Backgrounds as a filler. I think the Wild Wasabi ribbon gives it a nice touch.

On this card, I also used Simple Friendship. I am beginning to think I need this set too. I used Real Red ink, Basic Black ink, Old Olive cardstock, Basic Black cardstock, and Whisper White cardstock. I love the Wild Wasabi ribbon.

Flamingo Mailbox

On Friday night, I decorated my Target dollar spot mailbox. I have had just the mailbox since before Valentine's Day. I had to wait for my paper to come from my Stampin' Up! demo. I used Pink Flamingo DSP, Ribbons, Rub-ons, & Stickers.

By the way, I {heart} the color pink and pink flamingos.

This is the other side view. On this side I used some, stickers from Island Blossoms Simply Scrappin' Kit. The kit was a hostess item a few years back.

This is the front end of the mailbox. I absolutely had to showcase a flamingo on the part of the mailbox. I love the flower too!

These are up close views of the flag on the mailbox. I used some Rub-ons for this. I also used some ribbons.

This is my card for the Hip Hop Challenge - Tag! You're it!!! I used Real Red cardstock, White cardstock, Real Red ink, Too Cute Stampin' Up! DSP, & Unity stamps. I had so much fun creating this card!

I have two other projects I am working on. I am still working on my Mardi Gras layout and I have a new project. I am working on my Target mailbox. I usually like to work on my projects at night so maybe I'll have one of the projects finished by tomorrow.

Unity Hip Hop Challenges and a March

This is my card for the Unity Hip Hop Challenge - Unity Colors of the Heart. I used Riding Hood Red for my base. I also used In The City pattern paper. My stamps are the Dragonfly stamp and the Escape stamp from Unity. To add a little flavor, I used some wide pink and white striped ribbon.

This is the card for the other Unity Hip Hop challenge. This card is for the Unity Hip Hop Challenge - Unity Happiness. I used for this card Brilliant Blue cardstock & Stampin' Up! DSP. I also used the owl stamp, party hat stamp, & it's all about you stamp from Unity. I colored the owl & the party hat with Stampin' Up! markers and colored pencils. I stamped the all stamps in Brilliant Blue ink from Stampin' Up! To finish the card, I used wide blue ribbon.

Site upgrade this morning

It's getting to be a habit! We'll be down for approximately two hours this morning (Thursday) to complete some site maintenance and introduce a couple new features. Splitcoast will be unavailable starting at 8:30AM (pacific) until 10:30AM.

I welcome in March with these projects. Many of you probably are under the snow now and to say we got snow here too!

I was just playing around with my blog candy goodies this weekend. I made a mini card with a set that is in my blog candy. The set has white pre-scored mini cards, tiny envelopes, stickers, and rub-ons.

I was just playing with my Unity Grab Bag stamps and an alphabet set I got in my blog candy. I used a dewdrop ink pad to stamp these images which I also received in my blog candy. This morning when I looked at this again. I figured out that I could use this as a name frame.

Do you like my psychedelic owl? I will have to make a up close picture of my owl so you can see how psychedelic it really is.

Hip-Hop Hangover is upon us again. For the Hip-Hop Hangover, I made a scrapbook page. I have used for this scrapbook page some stamps from my Unity Grab Bag. I also used Stampin' Up! DSP, Real Red paper and ink, and Brilliant Blue ink. This is scrapbook page is from our trip last September to see the Atlanta Braves play. We had a blast on this trip! This trip was a present for my father for Father's Day. Have a Happy Hip-Hop Hangover Day!

You're my "Long Lost Love". This card is my "Long Lost Love" challenge card. A little bit of background on this stamp. I love butterflies so generally I had to have this stamp. I waited a long time after Stampin' Up! released it to want this stamp. I found this stamp on eBay. Back to the challenge, you were suppose to use a stamp/ stamp set that was your favorite that you had not used in a long time.

You’re My Obsession” challenge was super fun. One of many of my obsessions is Dale Earnhardt Jr. He is was voted "Most Popular Driver" among NASCAR fans three years in a row. So to tell you something about why I love Dale Jr. is simple. He is popular. Although this season hasn't begun the way Dale Jr. fans had expected to but he's still my obsession.

The "Two Hearts Beat As One"

challenge is to create a card using the split-negative technique. A brief description of the split-negative technique. The image is the same image. I versamarked my entire image and gold embossed it. Then I stamped my image with Riding Hood Red and cut it in half. Although this is not the technical way of doing this. I think it turned out great.

"A Wee Bit O' Love" challenge

For this challenge, we used "Inchies". "Inchies" are 1 X 1 inch squares. The challenge required us to use a least three. I used the "Buttons, Bows, & Twinkletoes" stamp set to create my inchies.

Today, I am going to show you more VSN cards.

This card is "New Love" challenge card. I used Unity's My Heart Sings stamp. I stamped it with Staz-On black ink. I colored various areas of the stamped image with Stampin' Up markers. I also used buttons to decorate the card.

This is my card for the "One True Love" challenge. I used Certainly Celery as a base. Then I used Gina K.'s Green Bubbles as a background. I stamped the Eastern Blooms on white cardstock using Certainly Celery ink. To jazz up the card a little bit, I used some Wild Wasabi ribbon. And stamped a saying using the "Best Yet" set.

VSN First 3 cards

Tonight, I made the first 3 cards for the VSN challenges.

My first card is for the "Sketch a Little Love" challenge. I used Riding Hood Red cardstock as my base color. Then, I layered Bella Rose DSP on top of that. Next, I stamped the big heart from the Love You Much set with Green Galore ink on to white paper. I cut a circle out of Too Cute DSP following a pattern I used by tracing a circle around a spool of ribbon.

My next card is for the "Bittersweet Love" challenge. With this challenge, you are suppose to incorporate a stamp set that you don't like. I chose Smorgasborders. After ordering this set, I have not really used it much. This set is no different than many sets I own. I see a sample of a card using a set and say "Oh, I love that. I definitely need that set." When the time comes around to make a card, I forget what I bought all these sets for. I usually go to my favorite set and use it for almost all my cards.

My final card tonight is for the "For the Love of Chocolate" challenge. I picked the Dark Chocolate color scheme. As you can see, my card is very simple as most of my cards turn out to be. I used the Love You Much set again. This set is my new favorite. Cameo Coral is my base color. I used Bella Rose DSP as a background. I stamped the love birds and the friend to friend stamp using Chocolate Chip. I colored the love birds with Apricot Appeal. That pretty much all for tonight. I am getting tired. I'll catch y'all on the flip side.

Potpourri-Part 2

Okay now, after several tries of getting my images on my blog. I am ready to explain. I used the Love You Much set, Real Red cardstock, white cardstock, Love You Much DSP, Real Red, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac, & Orchid Opulence Classic Stampin' spots. I also used colored pencils and a circle punch, the Heart Trio punch, Circle Scallop Punch, & the Designer Label Punch to create these cute valentines.

Potpourri-Part 1

Today, I have a potpourri of various projects I have done. As promised, here is a picture of the pin I made. I used a tile. You can buy these tiles at Home Depot or Lowe's. On the tile, first I sponged on Color Box Rouge Chalk Ink. Then, I let it set over night and I also attempted to dry it a little bit with my heat gun . The next day I stamped my image from the Stampin' Up! Delight in Life using Black Staz-On. I let that set overnight. The next day I used Crystal Effects to add some dimension to the flower. I also added a little bit of glitter to the Crystal Effects. I let that set overnight and I also heat set it with my heat gun. I added a tie tac pin to the back and now I am ready to wear it.

Last night after reading on SCS about the Cards for a Cause, I made this card to send. I used a So Saffron Long Note, Soft Sky Textured Cardstock, & white cardstock to make this card. I used the Eastern Blooms set. To add a sentiment to this, I used the Eastern Influences rub-ons. I look forward in creating more cards for the cause after receiving my Stampin' Up! order from this month.

This is an ornament I made for Christmas. I used Ski Slope DSP, Season to Share Accents & Elements, & On Board Something Seasonal chipboard. Making this was quite simple. You put glue on the chipboard. You place the paper on the chipboard. I used an Exac-to knife and cut around the chipboard ornament. Then, I placed the sticker in the middle. I let my paper really bond with the chipboard overnight.

Today is so full of things to do is not even funny. I have to go to the chiropractor at 11:30. I need to go pick up my prescription at the pharmacy. They gave me the wrong one on Monday. I shouldn't say wrong one but they didn't give me the one I call in about. They gave me some I had the doctor call in 2 weeks ago. I need to stop by Bath & Body Works to get some Shower Gel/ Body Wash. Buy 2 get 1 free Signature Collection. I stock up with they are on special. I need to run by Hobby Lobby and see if they have any pin findings. I am making a pin. I want to make a necklace. The pin will be for a later posting. Oh yeah, work this afternoon too. And to top it all off bad weather is suppose to be happening while all this is going on. If I make it to work and there is a Tornado Warning, I won't have to work as hard. I will be in the hospital's cafeteria just sitting on my butt.

Latest Stampin' Up Creations (continued)

To continue from my last post. This card is a Saturday Stamping card. We used the Congrats set from the SAB catalogue. I also used the Paper Bundle from the SAB catalogue. The fabulous eyelet border punch was used too.

What I think is a major staple of anyone stamping collection should be is this next set. Dreams du Jour is what I used on this card. Of the entire collection of card I made last week. This is by far my favorite card.

My final creation is from the Saturday Stamping. We made a bag topper using the Top Note Die and the Best Wishes and More set.

Today, I am posting my latest creations from the Stamper's Ten meeting and from Saturday Stamping at the library.

This card is from Saturday Stamping. We used the Polka Dot Punches set. And I used the Thank You Kindly set.

This card is from the Stamper's Ten meeting. It is a very basic card. I call it a punch card. We used the Heart Trio Punch, Heart Punch, and Scallop Edge Punch.

This is another card from Stamper's Ten. We used a stamp set called Time Well Spent. It was a level three hostess set two years ago. We all are jealous of this set at the Stamper's Ten.

I just started this blog tonight (9/17/08). I wanted to start one for some time now. My blog will consist of stamping, scrapbooking, designs for a future clothing line, and basically everything else in my life.
